What a god-awful name. But long story short: chunking is when you use a tray, bowl, basket, book, etc, to put other objects on to visually group them.
This can be done on a small scale like a side table, or a large scale like a whole side of a room.
So picture this: You’ve got a cute vanity or dresser and a stylish perfume or lotion collection just chillin on top. It doesn’t take long for all of those perfume bottles to start looking cluttered, busy, overwhelming. But then, you “chunk” them by placing them all onto a beautiful mirrored vanity tray.

A double vanity in a bathroom is a beautiful luxury not to be overlooked. For 5 years, the beauty of mine was wasted on 2 ADHD people who cannot remember to do a step of their nightly hygiene or self-care if the tools for it are not out in front of them when they enter that space. The vanity loses all of its beauty when the clutter overflows it. Enter chunking:

Is it the absolute most beautiful way I could keep my vanity? no. But it functions for us and the way our brains work. And it’s a hell of a lot prettier than without chunking our stuff.
